Incorporated in July 1994, PFK is governed by an elected Board of Directors (PFK Board) comprised of men and women from a cross-section of the community. The PFK Board is independent of City of Keene, State of New Hampshire and local business self-interests. It elects corporate officers to administer the affairs of the organization.
To date, the PFK Board has agreed to match the City of Keene dollar-for-dollar on Pathway construction projects. The PFK contribution (10%) and City of Keene contribution (10%) allows the State of New Hampshire to contribute 80% from Federal ISTEA (Internodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act) funds. ISTEA is now TEA-21 (Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century).
